First off I would like to say wtf happened to my single girlfriends???? Can all of you stop getting married, having babies, moving in with someone, falling madly deeply in love? Please…is this seriously way too much to ask?
On a total seperate note, a friend of mine once said the only reason I like country music is because I don’t have to try and understand it. Well, now I need help. So I get this call from a guy who I dated saying that he heard this song on the radio and it reminded him of me. I’m thinking…yay! I mean who calls someone to say a song reminds them of you if it isn’t a flattering song or maybe they call because they want to hook up with you, which isn’t a possibility because I am hundreds of miles away. Anyway, the song is Jack Johnson’s new song “If I had eyes” I don’t get the song. I need help. I looked up the lyrics. I love the song, but I don’t get if he is trying to say he can’t win me back because my blue eyes are just so pretty or because I never focus on one person because I am always looking for something else out there. I’m thinking it’s the last one, but I don’t know.
Anyway, I’m leaving you with the song to help me analyze and a picture of Thunder From Down Under, which I am seeing tomorrow. Is it just me or do the guys just…I don’t know, the bodies are hot but something about it just doesn’t get me all excited like it’s supposed to!
So Vegas was absolutly nuts! We had so much fun and I can’t post any pictures here. If you want to see pics, guess you will have to check out myspace. Yeah, that’s right. After Brie wanted me to add her as my friend, I decided to break down and actually use the thing. The theme of Vegas was “Don’t threaten me with a good time” It really was absolutly crazy! My flight got cancelled and I ended up driving there. I totally forgot that I drove to Vegas before, until I was reminded of the time I drove there with this guy Alex who I was crazy for, and also happened to only know for like 2 weeks. He was driving cross country to Washington D.C. and I was along for a short part of the ride.
After Vegas, I met up with Molly in L.A. You know when you have an idea about how a trip is going to go and it goes nothing like what you planned, but is still amazing? Yeah, that was this trip. Wednesday night Molly and I went and saw the country band Lady Antebellum and loved it. The night ended unexpectedly with me talking on my phone outside the hotel room, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Then on Thursday Molly and I went shopping and took pictures of people in their car while stuck in L.A. traffic. Molly thought the people wouldn’t like it, but I guaranteed we made a few people’s day and the truck drivers loved us. After L.A. it was on to San Diego where I was flying out of to go back home to Sac-town.
Sacramento was so much fun! I forgot how much I love that place. Although sorry mom, I don’t think I am going to call it home anytime soon. Even though she did volunteer to buy me a house/condo :) Friday night I went out with my friend Kristin who is a producer at the station I used to work for. We were getting our dance on to 80s music at the Press Club when out of nowhere I see a ton of people I used to work with at Roxy Restuarant. Cody is slightly intoxicated but none the less tells me how legit the club is and that he reads my blog. No joke, he says, “I’m not gonna lie, I read your blog. I google you girl like it’s my job.” I am so glad I got to see Cody and my twin brother Cameron and the rest of the Roxy gang! Scott thanks for making Kristin and my night at the end
And an honorable mention to Plum Blossom and their cream cheese wontons.
Sunday I got to see my pregnant friend Brie and we went to Capitol Garage for breakfast. This place is absolutly amazing and after my all you can drink mimosas, I took a four hour nap. I got to see my other pregnant friend Samaya and her boyfriend Dustin too.
The whole point of the trip was to see my brother off to Senior Ball. He looked so grown up and it makes it seem so real that he is graduating soon and moving to North Carolina for boot camp and nuclear school. Guess my mom will have two kids on the east coast pretty soon :) Pictures to follow later of my Sac trip. Until then, find me on myspace. Don’t expect me to decorate the page too much, but I will add some pictures of which you can all comment about how hot I am. That’s a joke in case you are reading this and know nothing about me.
So one day, right after I had graduated high school, I was riding in the car with Ms. Garcia after watering Mr. Platt’s plants, and Ms. Garcia played this cd she had made. And there was this song by Ani Di Franco and it’s funny how I always go back to it. It always speaks to me, even though it is years later. And I love playing it out loud and singing at the top of my lungs because it just makes me feel better and free. So in case you need that too, or you are just curious…check her out!
My favorite part of the song “You know I don’t look forward to seeing you again. You’ll look like a photograph of yourself taken from far far away and I won’t know what to do and I won’t know what to say”
Why is it when you run into someone slightly important in your life, they look amazing and you look awful? Am I the only one this happens to?
Sometimes things happen that are just amazing. This woman heard a voice in her head telling her to get a brain scan. She did and it turns out she had a brain tumor. Click here to read about more miracles.
This man gets mugged. He ends up making friends with the mugger, giving him a coat, and taking him out to dinner.

Well, let me just say this weekend was a good prelude to my Vegas weekend in 5 days. Jenny turned 25 and we had a fun, CRAZY time in Yuma. David Bataller and I were just talking about how it seems we drink more than we used to and I told him the reason is a riddle, it’s 4 letters and starts with a Y. I had a tough time with this riddle before, so if you can get it, you must be pretty smart! We met some people from New York, which had me questioning ever living there, considering I couldn’t understand some of the things Drew (pronounced druuuuuuu) said because he had such a strong accent. He also showed me and Quesada an “interesting” picture of his girlfriend on his cell phone and proceeded to tell me how she is cheating on him in New York. Good times. I’m sure they won’t even compare to the good times to be had in Vegas!
And in actual news, watched the three guys scale the Golden Gate bridge, then listened in live through a KPIX feed as one of the guys hanging from the bridge called into the news station for a phone interview. Amazing and the breaking news reminded me why I love this business!
Today was a little boring at work. Check out these photos of a mental institution taken by Jeremy Harris. Click on portfolio for American Asylum. They are up in a cafe in San Francisco. Ahh…San Francisco. Just thinking about it makes me feel a little cooler!
SUPER important. I will be back in Sac Town on April 18 and I know Sacramento has been feeling the loss of me. I was thinking Badlands…you know me and the gay clubs! But if you want to get together for my brief visit to California’s beautiful state capital, get a hold of me. And I promise the next place I go will be a place you will actually want to come visit me, that will start with a T, because I keep having dreams about T places like Texas and Tennessee.
Has anyone been watching Top Chef, with charismatic Spike and the different hats? I am going to find Spike from Top Chef, inform him that I really don’t enjoy eating that much and if he could just cook up a grilled cheese that would be fine with me. And since the man is planning on opening a burger joint in D.C., I don’t think he is going to care that the whole fine dining thing isn’t me.
And at this time next week, I will be about to get on my flight to Vegas. I am so excited. Look for pictures of what I can actually show you later. Because don’t forget, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…unless it’s an std :)
I have something to look forward to for the next month and a half! How exciting! Dinner with friends this weekend, Vegas, L.A., Sacramento, San Diego, Disneyland. I can not wait.
So I signed myself up for a Google alert. To do it just Google, google alert, and put in your name. I did Cambi and Cambi Brown. Anytime something new about me comes out on Google, they email me a link to the story. Imagine my surprise when I found this. And it even features my friend, Alan, who is pictured in another post wearing a pink dress.
And in funnier news, you know those Craigslist casual encounters are a little off their rocker, but wait until you read this! I don’t know why I am so into Craigslist, maybe because it makes me feel so normal. Personally, I don’t believe any of these people are that great looking, because they wouldn’t have to be soliciting sex if they were.
I have the best friends. Nadine knows when to get off the phone with me because I have a Lost episode on pause and I want to keep watching it. By the way, totally addicted to Lost. The news station keeps saying they are going to stage an intervention because I am completly obsessed. Molly and Brie know exactly the right things to say. Molly: The end. Brie: Oooo…but don’t forget what tomorrow is. And Jenny, Shannon and I got tickets to go to Thunder From Down Under!
Nadine and I were driving in the car with the windows down and the 90 degree heat beating down on us, and this song came on. We have decided it is our theme song for the year.
Someone famous said this, I’m not sure who, but Nadine said it last night and she is going to be famous!
I have been getting some calls, 9 to be exact, which makes me feel the need to address this. I am not in Playboy! That is not me. Thank you, and maybe if my family wouldn’t be so mad and I didn’t have this career, that could be me. But no, it is not.
My brother busted out singing this song about me. Funny! I wouldn’t even think he would know this song.
So after the whole Eliot Spitzer hooker thing and all the money she is making, I decided that maybe I’m in the wrong business. Turns out I’m not worth her $4300 an hour, but I am worth over $1,000. Take this quiz to see what you’re worth in bed.
This Photoshop Disaster Blog shows you all the mistakes made when people photoshop pictures. If they didn’t point out exactly where it was, I don’t think I would even notice.

Life Before Death Pictures This is amazing and I love reading the people’s stories.
My mom said divorce was the hardest thing she has ever had to go through. She should have wrote this kind of letter. Poor Connie.
Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Life’s mysteries solved! You know what I want to know? Why is it socially unacceptable to sing out loud at the gym? I was working out in Sacramento with my friend Molly and I was asking her this question and I just decided to sing out loud. It only lasted for maybe 20 seconds because I didn’t want everyone to hate me since I can barely carry a tune, but sometimes I just want to sing out loud. On a total side note, Molly do you remember that guy I dated from 24 hour who took his t-shirt off in the middle of the bar because I said I was cold? Note to women everywhere…men who are personal trainers at a gym tend to be a little full of themselves!
So I heard this song on The Hills last night, and I was reminded of when I left Sacramento, and my mom and Sal pulling away in the truck after we had breakfast. It was the scariest, but most exhilirating experience. And I remember saying goodbye to Molly on the streets of downtown Sacramento, right across from Tapas. And how I pulled out of the KOVR parking lot, trying so hard not to cry. And I swore I would be back to Sacramento. And now, after experiencing being away from my hometown, I’m not sure I want to go back. I want the unfamiliarity of a new downtown and being in a cool place that people want to come visit. I want this cd. Marie Digby has amazing talent!
